“A Lady of Letters” is one of the original classic ‘Talking Heads’ monologues by Alan Bennett.

Irene Ruddock dashes off letters with her trusty fountain pen, complaining about the failures of others. But when the police come by, it’s Irene who is in trouble, leading to a dramatic change in her personal circumstances. It’s here that she finds a new sense of belonging and camaraderie.

It will be directed by Deborah Fabbro and performed by BTC favourite, Carol Shelbourn.

“The Rats” is a one-act play from the Queen of Crime, Agatha Christie, directed by Annie Blood.

This sophisticated mystery, set in the early 1960s, takes place in a fashionable fifth-floor flat in Hampstead, London.

The owners are abroad, but some mysterious messages have brought a group of people to the flat one summer evening for drinks. What first appears to be a simple mix up of dates turns into something far more sinister when two of them are locked in and, all at once, framed for murder.
