My First Bush House Imaginative Building Workshop For Children And Young People @ Brighton Town Hall

Join 2026 Billilla Studio Artist Rosanna Blacket for an imaginative, hands-on workshop that takes children into the garden in search of inspiration from magical and playful places such as the Magic Faraway Tree and Tigger's House at Pooh Corner.

Children will explore natural materials and investigate how branches, sticks and leaves can be used to create a personal environment. Drawing on the long tradition of building cubby houses outdoors, participants can experiment with making a teepee, nest, den or something more free-form and wild.

The workshop is suitable for children aged 5-12 years, and parents or guardians must attend with their child. The venue is wheelchair-friendly, with other accessibility accommodations available by contacting Bayside Gallery. The workshop is organised by Bayside Arts and costs $10.
